The weekend of May 20 to 22, featured the wonderful couple, Whitley and Martin. They had a dream … Getting married in Tuscany, specifically in beautiful Lucca.
“Thomas, are you up for filming our wedding in Italy?”
Hmmmm… Shooting a destination wedding in beautiful Tuscany? Hell Yeah!!! 🙂

Together with second shooter Thomas Van den Bossche, we stayed at the beautiful hotel Villa San Michele, where the wedding also took place.
It may be said… Dutchmen can party. We only arrived on Friday and out of nowhere a pool party ensued. And yes, everyone was immediately in the mood! In the evening, we headed into the city of Lucca with the couple and photographer Marco Klompenmaker to do a test shoot.
After a short speech by the couple in the wine cellar, we had another drink together with the guests and crawled into our bed in time to be fresh for the wedding day.

Up early on May 21, after a delicious breakfast with Martin, we left for the barber. What a nice location! Despite D-day, Martin remained remarkably calm, although that was also due to his gentle nature.
Back at the hotel, we went to take pictures at Whitley. With her, you noticed a little more excitement anyway, but that too is probably due to her exuberant, enthusiastic personality…. The first look in front of the hotel was unforgettable.
Such moments make us proud to be wedding videographers!
After a beautiful ceremony with catchy vows, we left for the wedding shoot in the direction of Lucca. Italy and marriages … it is sacred! The enthusiastic Italians congratulated Whitley and Martin on it. Fortunately, we still had plenty of time to frame our romantic images.
In the evening we enjoyed dinner in the garden of Villa San Michele, after which we were able to can another summit party full of enthusiastic Dutchmen. Amsterdamers and Rotterdammers who brotherly kicked off the party!
After a long day of filming, we too were invited to placate a dance… And yes, Webstrive Weddings doesn’t say no to that either!
Going out of your way for a moment…
Sunday morning, May 22, all guests with small eyes at the breakfast table. It’s part of the deal… After saying goodbye to the couple, we left for home!
